MARY

"She is such a sweet
horse.  We really thought she did good yesterday in the woods.  It was

like she enjoyed every bit of it. I am going to ride her a bunch over spring
break while Mason is gone.  Yea!!!!!  Mary is doing great.  She really likes the woods.  She has also made a
friend, her and another horse are always side by side.  Mason is doing

well riding her.  I am glad he has a horse he can ride now."

Mary was rescued from the kill pens of an Indiana livestock auction house just a few days before Christmas 2005.  She is a barn favorite, and everybody stops by to see how Mary is doing!  She loves to be groomed, and wastes no time letting you know where SHE wants to be scratched!  When she came to FFI she was emaciated with a body score of 2.  Now she has a dry stall, all the hay she can eat, a vet who smiles every time she sees her and she is gaining weight and is doing great!  She is not yet available for adoption, but is available for sponsorship.  We want to make sure that she is healthy and at full-weight before she will be available for adoption.  She will be adopted as a companion horse, and so will have no adoption fee, but a tax-deductible donation would be appreciated.  For more information about sponsorship or future adoption of Mary please contact us.
